Helping Homeschool Families Achieve Success
About Me
About Me:

Hello, my name is Hope and I am a seasoned tutor. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I was born in Ukraine. A little before my third birthday, my family and I immigrated to the US and I have lived here since then. Growing up in a large family, I learned early on that my older siblings are a great resource when I needed help with school. In return, I helped my younger siblings whenever I could. Although I attended a public elementary school, my parents decided to homeschool me from 7th grade and on. Being immigrants and not possessing adequate English skills, my parents struggled to provide my siblings and I with a good education. Despite the struggles, I graduated from American Christian Academy at 16 years old. Due to unforeseen family circumstances, my college education took longer than necessary. Nonetheless, I not only attended a community college but also had the privilege to study at UC Davis. I am currently furthering my education via an online program with Los Angeles Pacific University. I am living proof that education never stops. I have tutored others on and off for 12 years.
I first became a tutor with the Beacon Tutoring program at American River College while I was a student there. After transferring to UC Davis, I volunteered as a tutor for several grade-school students. Shortly before leaving UC Davis, I helped my youngest brother enroll in a home school program because he was struggling in public school. I then devoted myself to helping him, and others like him, graduate high school. I found that many parents were struggling to homeschool their children because they didn't feel qualified to help their kids or they were too busy and overworked. I have been a vendor with several charter schools since 2018 and have tutored over 100 students.

Fall Semester:
Majority of the "classes" offered are $300 for the semester with the exception of Science ($400) and Cookie Art ($200)
Spring Semester:

How the "Classes" work:
Unless told otherwise, each class session reviews/ covers a weekly set of work. Daily homework is assigned and graded by me. This is designed to help students with daily planning and to relieve parents of grading duty.
